“This was an amazing experience! Not just a cooking class, but a full Balinese culture apprenticeship, thanks to Eri, our cooking master. She welcomed us in her family house, gave us a big explanation about history, and then we moved to the cooking party which was fabulous. We cooked 10 dishes and had it all for dinner after. “A wonderful, fun and informative introduction to Balinese cooking, with dishes we shall be making at home. Yogi, our cooking teacher and his team were funny, warm and welcoming. Our driver, Harry collected us in Ubud and drove north of the city to a very local market where he taught us about local fruits which we got to try, spices, vegetables and cakes, and saw the flower temple offerings being assembled. After that we were taken to rice fields with a fabulous view of the volcano in the background and then on to the school. “The cook which was also our guide for this tour was very good in explaining all the local specialties. The market tour up front was great, gave a good insight about what’s local and what’s actually from overseas. We tastes some small things and also got us some local sweets for the coffee later on. The cooking class was very flexible, they offered vegetarian options as well and had an over nice 5 course set we cooked together. We’ve all been engaged to do our part which was fun! Would definitely go again, just with some other dishes :).”

Komah was our teacher at the cooking class, she made the class so much fun and had a lot of information about the food and culture in Bali. 10/10 recommend this tour. note that they do mis vegan/veggiewitg meat eaters in class but this was fine for us as you make your own meals ☺️”
